How You Portray Yourself on Social Media
In Computer Science, we did a "Instagram Profile" project. This project was to make a fake Instagram profile that represented things that were important to you or represent you. Before making our profiles, we took a look at some celebrities profiles to get an idea of how our social media can portray you and what is important to you. Once we personalized the Instagram profile, David passed the paper along with some other papers to four different people. The other papers that were attached were papers that asked question like "From their profile, what does it look like they value?". After each person filled out all the questions we got them back to see how others looked at our profiles.

Data Display of You |
|
The "Data Displays of You" project was one of the first projects we did in Computer Science. We used Google Sheets to create graphs that all add up to 100. The graph represents us and we were assigned to put anything (hobbies, characteristics, sports, etc.) that we think is part of who we are. As long as it added up to 100%. For my project, I chose to do two graphs instead of one. For the first, I did hobbies. For the second I did characteristics. I think this was a great project and I had a lot of fun creating my graphs and personalizing it to my liking.

Sheets Deliverable
Our "Sheets Deliverable" project is document we made using the different techniques/tools on Google Sheets. We learned things such as; how to find the total, how to create new cells, what a cell is, etc. With these things we learned, we created a spreadsheet where we made something (receipt, trip budget, etc.) that showcased what we learned and what we remember. I created a Sephora receipt and some calculations my friend and I made before and after shopping. If you would like to see my "Sheets Deliverable" project, click the button below. :)
Ted Talk Stats
In our English class, we are creating a TED Talk. With that presentation, we needed some statistics and evidence to back up our facts. We used our knowledge from Computer Science to create a graph that gave good evidence for our facts. For my TED Talk, I created a survey and asked people to take it. With the percentages and statistics I got, I used them to create my graph. My topic was the differences in Male and Female communication. To view my graph and brainstorm click the button below. :)
Convince Me
Our "Convince Me" project was to show what we learned/remember about lying with statistics. We used the skills we learned from "Lying With Statistics" such as; omitting data, cutting the y-axis, etc. We were given a papers with different scenarios that we used to find the data we needed to create our graph. After we finished our graph, we wrote down all the techniques we used and why we used them. To see my "Convince Me" graph, click the button below. :)
